Interns & Junior Associates

Interns and Junior Associates at Hitchcock Design Group are essential studio members who are eager to get their career started! We look for creativity, technical expertise, self-starter, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, a great attitude, and a commitment to helping your team succeed.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: working in teams to accomplish the best possible project outcomes
• Design: research, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation; illustrating, rendering, estimating, and drafting; conventional and high-tech deliverables
• Teamwork: meet project deadlines, improve our resources, learn from 40+ other landscape architects, participate in office culture, and grow professionally
• Communication: interact with vendors, consultant partners, and clients

Qualifications for Co-Ops/Interns

• Education: working toward a BSLA, BLA, or MLA degree
• Experience: 0-3 years of landscape architecture experience
• Skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and conventional graphics (some proficiency with Lumion is a plus)
• A 6-month in-person commitment for all co-ops and internships is required

Qualifications for Junior Associates

• Education: BSLA or BLA degree (completed, or eligible to graduate by end of current school year)
• Experience: internship, co-op, or 1+ year(s) of work experience in a private-practice landscape architecture firm or department within a multi-disciplinary firm
• Skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and conventional graphics (some proficiency with Lumion is a plus)
• Licensure is not a requirement (but we'll help you get licensed!)
